We get trees in a variety of ways, but by far the best way is to take seeds from the Nehalem watershed, nurture them and then return them to their native soil. In this way the trees and plants that are best adapted to a particular microclimate are used. Success rates are higher, and the native genome is preserved.
Collecting seeds
In the fall seeds are collected from a variety of plants such as vinemaple, fir, cedar, red-osier dogwood, big leaf maple, and spruce.

Growing Phase
The young trees grow in climate controlled conditions and are fed and watered.

Boxing Day
The trees are ready for planting in a year or two depending on the application and species. These are boxed up for shipment back to the Nehalem watershed for planting
